Our products include machinery and technologies for stone processing (including cutting, polishing, profiling, and shaping) as well as 5 and 6-axis CNC machinery working with metal and composite materials for the aerospace, defence, aeronautics, naval, automotive, motor racing, energy, die, modelling, prototyping, thermosetting polymer-based large-scale additive manufacturing, and general manufacturing industries.
In addition, we promote and distribute Lapitec®, a unique 100% natural, sustainable, and recyclable crystalline-silica-free stone product made with Bio Quartz® material developed by our Breton Institute of Technology. We provide technicians to support the Lapitec Academy, Lapitec® training, and after-sales service dedicated to its fabricators.
**Job tasks and responsibilities**
To intensify and improve technical service to our customers in Australia and New Zealand, we are currently seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, and organized Electronic Technician to join our technical team.
Tasks Include:
- **Install, test, and commission electronic instruments and control systems** on complex machinery, ensuring full compliance with manufacturer specifications and performance standards.
- **Read and interpret mechanical and electronic drawings, wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, layouts, and technical manuals** to assemble, align, and calibrate parts and components accurately.
- **Diagnose and locate faults** in machines, equipment, and control systems by using a range of testing devices and precision measuring instruments, including squareness meters, dial indicators, and electronic levels.
- **Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance** of industrial machines and electronic instrumentation to ensure reliable and safe operation and to prevent breakdowns.
- **Adjust, repair, and replace defective wiring, electronic components, and mechanical parts**, as well as modify instruments and equipment to improve efficiency or meet customer-specific requirements.
- **Operate and program numerical control (CNC) systems**, including Siemens and Heidenhain controls, for automation and precision manufacturing processes across multiple industrial sectors.
- **Commission complex machinery on client sites**, ensuring correct setup, alignment, and calibration of instruments, and confirm operational readiness before handover.
- **Train end-users, customers, and maintenance technicians** on the correct operation and routine servicing of instruments and control systems to avoid operational issues and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- **Provide technical support and hotline service** for both national and international client installations, including diagnosing faults remotely and guiding onsite technicians.
- **Continuously update technical knowledge** and stay current with innovations in electronic instrumentation, industrial automation, and CNC technologies.
- **Prepare detailed technical reports, service documentation, and operational records** to track system performance, maintenance history, and customer support activities.
- **Support engineering and product development teams** by providing field-based feedback regarding performance, reliability, and user experiences of machines and systems.
- **Liaise with customers to understand current and future technical needs**, recommend solutions, and offer tailored services such as system upgrades, scheduled servicing, and product enhancements.

**Skills**:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience as Electronic Technician
- Project management skills
- Time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to take directions
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to colleagues and customers with diverse backgrounds
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Self-motivation
- Flexibility to workdays, nights, or weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of the Italian language is preferable
