The Opportunity
Our diverse Services business provides 24 / 7 servicing for hospitals, utilities, data centers support for the resources sector and just about everything in between. Our Schneider Electric portfolio covers UPS, critical cooling equipment, LV / MV switchgear, transformers, substation monitoring as well as a wide range of ancillary equipment. We enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations.
We are currently seeking a Tender Engineer to join our growing Global Services team. Reporting to our Global Pre-Sales Leader, you will be responsible for the preparation of quotations and tender submissions covering installation / testing, contracts, upgrades / re‐engineering, retrofit solutions and digital services.
You will also get the opportunity to focus in on electrical distribution services, including LV and MV solutions and other growing areas of our operations as our customer base continues to grow, especially in support of Cloud and Service Providers across a market that is full of opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
4. Review customer RFQ's, specifications and tender specifications for Field Service activities
5. Identify cost‐effective solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements
6. Collaborate with local and international stakeholders on an ongoing basis
7. Interact with customers when required, leveraging your technical knowledge to provide solutions
8. Prepare tender documentation including technical compliance, risk assessments and approval documentation
9. Prepare costing sheets to show the cost and margin of offers, ensuring minimum margin levels are achieved, whilst respecting market price levels
10. Prepare quotations within agreed timeframes that define the technical solution proposed, whilst mitigating technical and commercial risks
11. Contribute to the business growth in accordance with company strategy and ambition
12. Handover won projects to execution teams
13. Domestic travel when required
About You
14. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (degree or diploma) combined with experience in a similar tendering role
15. Previous experience in the submission of tenders and preparing quotations, operating to set processes with a level of rigour
16. The ability to read and interpret technical specifications, commercial and contract conditions and single line drawings would be ideal, as would previous experience in the supply, installation and site testing of MV and LV distribution switchgear
17. Those with previous experience in protection relays or data centers will be viewed favourably, as will those with a knowledge of Schneider products and offerings
