**full-time**, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm positions working
**35 hours** per week. Located at the
**Nowra Administration Building**.
The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position. There are 4 steps within each grade with the salary commencing at Step 1. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position. This role has been assessed as a grade 9-10.
**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Buildings Operations Manager, the focus of this position is to:
- Provide specialist property advice and support to internal and external stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes.
- Ensure that all lease/license/agreements between Building Services and occupants are in place and completed by critical dates.
- Execute strategies to minimize the vacancy rate and maximize commercial property returns where possible.
- Project management of property related issues for key Building Services projects and as directed by the Supervisor.
- Ensure written and verbal correspondence / information / reports provided to clients / public / Council is correct, factual, timely and in accordance with relevant legislation and Council policy.
- Contribute to budget development.
- Regularly interrogate income and expenses and advise management of corrective action.
This is a grade range position, therefore in accordance with qualifications, accreditation, experience and demonstrated skills, the prospective employee will be assessed as either Grade 9 or 10.
Grade 9 - Salary: $74,082 - $86,240 p.a. plus 10.5% Super
Grade 10 - Salary: $81,819.40 - $93,982 p.a. plus 10.5% Super
**Skills & Experience**
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
**Grade 9**
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in the Property field i.e., Property Valuation, Property Management, or another related course and/or equivalent experience and related skills.
- An awareness of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act, the Crown Lands Management Act and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Native Title Legislation
- A demonstrated capability to manage a diverse property portfolio and high-level report writing skills including at Director/ CEO / Council levels.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
**Grade 10**
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in the Property field ie Property Valuation, Property Management, or another related course and/or equivalent experience and related skills.
- A sound understanding of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act, the Crown Lands Management Act and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Native Title Legislation
- A demonstrated capability of managing a large diverse property portfolio and high-level report writing skills including at Director/ CEO / Council levels.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
**Property Opportunities**
- **Coordinator Property & Survey Services** - Lead a team of property and survey professionals in land/easement acquisition/disposal, road closures, leases, and licenses of Council property.
- **Strategic Property Manager** - Lead Council's strategic property asset strategy, (current & future) to achieve or realise short-term (activation) and strategic long-term (end outcomes) goals. Help support the Council's aspirations for the improvement of key centres and development of key precincts.
- **Senior Property Officer - Technical Services** - Undertake complex land/easement acquisition/disposal, road closures, leases and licenses of Council property and act as Council's Native Title Manager.
- **Property Officer - Technical Services** - Undertake Land/Easement Acquisition/Disposal, Road Closures, Leases and Licenses of Council property.
- **Property Officer - Building Services** - Management of all aspects of Council's commercial and community property portfolio.
