Eilbeck Cranes is a 100% Australian owned company operating in Australia for 118 years specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of all types of overhead cranes, hoists and winches.
We are renowned for technically superior cost-effective solutions for our customers and are currently seeking a Network Administrator to join our strong IT team in our Sydney Office.
The Network Administrator plans, develops, installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and supports an operating system and associated server hardware, software, and databases to ensure optimum system integrity, security, backup, and performance.
Responsibilities
Administer Windows Server environment including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Manage Windows Server, Group Policy & Active Directory environments, as well as Office365 Cloud environment
Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with MS Exchange
Perform network administration including firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, and LAN/WAN performance
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures such as MFA, antivirus, patching, and threat detection
Monitor system backups and support disaster recovery testing and planning
Provide Level 1–3 support across hardware, software, network, VPN, RDP, and email/web security
Set up, onboard, and decommission user accounts and workstations
Deliver IT inductions and provide user training
Maintain the IT Asset Register, licences, warranties, and documentation
Assist with writing SOPs, user guides, and maintaining IT documentation
Plan, develop, configure, maintain, and support the operating systems, server hardware, software, and databases
Ensure that the design of computer sites allows all components to fit together and function properly
Continuously survey the current computer site to determine future network needs and recommend enhancements
Monitor and adjust the performance of networks and overall systems
Perform operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups and recovery procedures
Enforce security and integrity controls to safeguard data
Accept responsibility for the processes and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning
Liaise with security vendors and service providers; analyse, recommend, install, and maintain software security applications
Troubleshoot and provide service support in diagnosing, resolving, and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions, including workstations and communication infrastructure
Prepare and maintain documentation, policies, and instructions
Record and detail operational procedures and system logs
