Pentland Childcare & Kindergarten is a well-established, family-owned service located in the heart of Bacchus Marsh. Licensed for 100 places, our centre has proudly served local families for many years and is known for its warm, community-focused environment and commitment to high-quality early education and care.
Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, and we take pride in our strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community. We are now seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to join our management team and lead our service into its next exciting chapter.
About the Role
As the Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and daily operations of the service. You will provide professional guidance and mentoring to a team of 35 dedicated educators, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing program for all children and families.
You will work closely with the approved provider and leadership team to maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement, and uphold our strong service philosophy and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
* Lead, support, and inspire a team of passionate educators to provide high-quality learning environments and experiences
* Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community
* Oversee enrolments, staffing rosters, budgeting, and administrative tasks
* Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture
* Drive continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the service
* Work closely with the Approved Provider and 2IC to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) or higher qualification
* Previous experience as a Centre Director, Nominated Supervisor
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, and current early childhood practices
* A proactive and professional approach to team leadership and service management
