**About the role**:

As a critical part of the operational technical team, this role is a key part of the delivery of services to support our client base on-site and from our laboratory using remote access systems. As this is a customer facing role, the successful applicant must ensure that our standards of efficiency, safety and quality are maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- New systems workshop build, programming, and factory testing.
- Installation and fault finding of Voice & Data Radio systems predominantly Motorola.
- Installation and fault finding of microwave equipment and various IP based ancillary equipment.
- Installation of communications equipment in a wide variety of locations, including buildings, towers, mobile plant and vehicles which may be at our customers premises or at our workshops.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure project delivery with-in design, quality, budget, and schedule specifications.
- Completion of Preventative Maintenance Inspections of customer equipment when due.
- Complete Project documentation, Survey reports, FAT and SAT documentation where required.
- Provide technical input to support sales where required.
- Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Participate in a 24/7 on call roster on call support for specified customers to meet contractual SLA's.
**About You**
- You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic for two-way radio communications solutions.
- You will possess a high level of attention to detail.
- You will be able to think "out of the box" to resolve unexpected issues.
- You will have experience working with conventional and trunked two-way radio communications and IP based equipment.
- You will have the ability to work solo or within a team working on projects around the metro area and at remote locations including mine sites.
- You will be willing to be included in on-call after hours rostering.
- Able to provide documentation / certificates indicating previous radio communications training.
- You will ideally be experienced with Motorola radio systems.
- You will have intimate knowledge of VHF and UHF radio systems in multiple technologies such as analogue, DMR, P25, and TETRA.
- You will have experience installing and commissioning microwave links.
- You will have experience in working at heights.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Cert III in Electronics and Communications or equivalent trade certificate and cablers licence - Essential.
- 5 years' experience in two-way radio communications systems **- Essential.**:
- Drivers' licence for manual cars below 4.5t or interstate equivalent **- Essential.**:
- You must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role **- Essential.**:
- Component level diagnostics and repair capability highly regarded.
- Construction Industry Induction (White/Red/Blue) Card **- Highly Desirable.**:
