About this work area
As an Interior Design Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
* Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers (involving customer visits) through creating in-room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
* Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
* Assisting in building furniture and setting up new room-sets when required.
* Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market.
* Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas.
Who you are
As an Interior Design Co-worker you have:
* A true passion for home furnishing and people's lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces.
* Experienced with programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC Suite, and Revit is preferred but not essential.
* Having an Interior Design/Architecture qualification, or previous experience is preferred.
* An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools.
* A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals.
* An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
