Are you reliable, organised, and ready to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes? We are looking for a Storeperson (part time) to support hotel operations by managing inventory, receiving deliveries, uploading invoices and ensuring supplies are available for various departments — from kitchen to housekeeping.
What you'll do:
* Ensure all goods are correctly received in accordance with the quantity & quality stated in the approved Purchase Orders, and properly stored on a FIFO basis
* Distribute items promptly to sub-stores and hotel departments
* Ensure timely receiving of operating supplies invoices into FutureLog system in accordance with Budget guidelines
* Ensure policies and procedures relating to access control of stores are adhered to at all times
* Follow up any purchasing queries, outstanding deliveries and problems which may occur with suppliers
* Ensure all goods returned to suppliers are properly authorised & accounted for
* Responsible for cleanliness, hygiene and neat arrangement of the loading bay & general stores areas
* Responsible for the maintenance & security of all storage areas to prevent losses through environmental damage & pilfering.
* Assist in co-ordinating Monthly stocktakes with relevant Department Heads
* Assist department team members with sourcing goods from approved suppliers and subsequent setup in the FutureLog Purchasing system
* Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Heads of Department
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a similar store or inventory role (hotel/hospitality experience preferred)
* Familiarity with hotel purchasing systems such as FutureLog is an advantage
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Physically fit and able to lift/move stock items
* High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude
