NAAJA is seeking dedicated and motivated Criminal Administration Officers to join our dynamic legal teams across the Northern Territory.

About the Role:

As a key member of our Crime Division, you'll be at the frontline of supporting our lawyers and clients through vital administrative work. Your role will help ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have access to timely, high-quality legal services. You’ll work closely with solicitors, manage confidential files, liaise with clients, coordinate services and be a critical link in the justice process.

What You’ll Do:

• Be a first point of contact for clients—on the phone and in person.

• Manage and maintain accurate records in our Client Management System.

• Organise client files and assist with court list preparations.

• Provide vital administrative support to a fast-paced legal team.

What You’ll Need:

• Strong communication skills and confidence managing client enquiries.

• High-level computer skills (MS Office, email, data entry).

• A team-focused, reliable and proactive approach to your work.

• Understanding of Aboriginal culture and the role of NAAJA is highly desirable.

• Ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and pass a criminal history check.
