**Procurement Strategy Manager, Ongoing, Sydney**
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is looking for an enthusiastic and team-orientated individual to provide high quality leadership to its Corporate Services Procurement Team. The successful applicant will support DCS Corporate Procurement by leading and managing a team to provide timely, insightful, and outcomes-based support on procurement activities across the organisation enabling better business decisions and increased Procurement compliance.

The role is to provide a range of specialised strategic advice and services to agencies within the Department, as well as the Corporate Procurement Team.

**About Us**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Corporate Procurement Team which services the DCS cluster. The team sits within the Corporate Services Division of DCS, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for DCS. Corporate Procurement has three functions within the team: Business Partnering, Sourcing, and Centre of Excellence. This role sits within the Sourcing team and reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing methodologies and strategies to achieve maximum benefit and value for money for the business
- Monitor and report on supplier performance against the contract and organisational dashboards to measure benefits realisation and evaluate the success of supplier management and development strategies
- Oversee whole of custer procurement activities and provide authoritative expert advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with the NSW Procurement Policy Framework
- Coach, guide and mentor the team to build sourcing and engagement capabilities to achieve success outcome, effectively manage stakeholder relationships and deliver to agreed strategic priorities
- Lead stakeholder engagement to proactively develop a pipeline of planned procurements for existing services and superimpose with a pipeline of new project procurements
- Manage and monitor workload and utilisation of resources including assigning the team to procurement projects based on their preference, skills and experience to deliver successful outcomes
**About you**:
You are genuinely passionate about procurement with demonstrable experience delivering excellence in commercial outcomes, sustainable procurement and brokering value for customers. This role would suit an expert with experience leading a high performing team in a complex procurement environment and perhaps an industry with regulatory frameworks. As this is a new role, you will understand expectations set by the Chief Procurement Officer and be able to operate at a high level of autonomy and hold yourself accountable for the quality, integrity and value of service provided.
