Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to lead our infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, cloud migration, and security.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and effectiveness of our IT infrastructure. This includes administering, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Additionally, the role requires managing and supporting cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure platforms. The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining core infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, telephony, backup/recovery, and security.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructures across multiple departments and offices.
* Administer, monitor, and maintain Council's Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
* Manage and support cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure platforms.
* Manage and maintain core infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, telephony, backup/recovery, and security.
* Provide an escalation point for complex user hardware/software issues following initial diagnosis by other team members.
* Contribute to the design, planning, and delivery of ICT infrastructure components for business and digital transformation projects.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
