Role opportunities
We are currently recruiting for multiple positions in power systems and hydrology, including Senior Protection Engineer – Field Testing, Senior Hydrologist, Senior Electrical Engineer (Power Systems), Principal Structural Transmission Line Engineer, and related roles. Your Role (example focus: Senior Protection Engineer – Field Testing)
You'll be hands-on in delivering complex projects and providing expert engineering advice. You'll lead field testing and commissioning activities for secondary systems, ensuring compliance, safety and quality standards. Your main focus will be testing and commissioning of protection, control and secondary systems for generation and transmission in hydro power stations. You'll also mentor team members, contribute to project management and support business development initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Deliver best-practice field testing and engineering consulting services for hydro/generation power station secondary/protection systems, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
* Lead the development of ITPs, isolation sheets and work procedures.
* Provide technical reviews and approvals for ITPs, test and commissioning reports and project documentation.
* Offer technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
* Prepare major project estimates and proposals for internal and external clients.
* Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Your Skills & Experience
* Expert knowledge and minimum 10 years' experience in testing and commissioning of secondary systems, controls, and protection schemes for high-energy generation and transmission.
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Skilled computer user, especially for automated protection testing.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to mentor and coach team members.
