Job Overview:
We are seeking a Rewinder Operator to join our dynamic production team specializing in label manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the Omega SRI rewinding machines to ensure high-quality rewinding of printed label products, meeting production schedules and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor the Omega SRI rewinding machines to rewind printed labels while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
* Set up and adjust rewinding equipment for specific production runs according to job specifications.
* Check and monitor the quality of labels during the rewinding process, ensuring any defects are reported and rectified promptly.
* Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operation.
* Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the rewinding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets and resolve any operational issues.
* Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience in printing/label manufacturing preferred but not essential.
* Proven experience operating rewinding machines or similar equipment is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of label production processes and quality standards.
* Attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues in printed labels.
* Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for efficient machine operation and maintenance.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and move rolls of labels.
* Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
