We’re a small, busy pizza & pasta-focused Italian restaurant looking for a reliable Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team. This role will start primarily as a kitchen hand / all-rounder, with front-of-house (FOH) training provided over time for the right person.
Duties & Responsibilities
Initially (Kitchen-Focused):
* Food preparation (pasta prep, sauces, toppings, salads)
* Assisting with pizza and pasta service
* Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
* Supporting chefs during busy service periods
* Stock handling and basic prep organisation
* Following food safety and hygiene standards
* General kitchen cleaning and end-of-shift duties
As You Progress (FOH & Support Tasks):
* Running food from kitchen to front-of-house
* Basic customer service and guest interaction
* Communicating with FOH staff during service
* Assisting with in-house food deliveries during certain shifts
What We’re Looking For
* Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred (not essential)
* Willingness to learn both BOH and FOH roles
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
* Team player with good communication skills
* Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Preferred (Not Essential):
* Valid RSA
Availability (Essential)
* Must be available for weekends and public holidays.
