- **Icon Cancer Centre Greenslopes**
- Join our existing administration team and support our specialists, nursing staff and patients coming in for regular treatments
- Fast paced centre making a difference in everyday in our patients lives
- **Permanent part-time, 60-68hrs per fortnight **(Weekday shifts) - Greenslopes Private Hospital

**The Opportunity**

As a
**Medical Secretary** based at our
**Icon Cancer Centre in Greenslopes **on a
**permanent part-time** basis (60-68 hours per fortnight), you'll join a truly connected and talented team who are passionate about delivering the best possible patient care.

Our team makes us who we are, they shape our impact and drive our success. And at Icon, you will be a true champion of our patients care by:

- Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details
- Scheduling/organising patient appointments, organise day lists for consultant
- Prep consult rooms and paperwork for each clinical session
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Communicate fee schedules and enter/process patient invoicing and billing (Private Health and Medicare)
- Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients
- Oversee wait room and respond to patient queries
- Discharge procedures and paperwork
- Supporting Icon's WHS Officers and committees to effectively carry out their responsibilities

**About You**
- Medical Specialist secretarial experience highly advantageous
- Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Insurance favourable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written
- Ability to use computer systems - competence required in Word and Excel
- Delivery of excellent client service (to internal and/or external clients)
- Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology favourable
