This part-time Bistro Supervisor role at the Phillip Island RSL Sub-Branch in Cowes, VIC offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality team and contribute to the success of this established venue. As Bistro Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bistro, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow.
What you'll be doing
 * Supervising and scheduling bistro staff to ensure smooth operations
 * Monitoring inventory, placing orders, and maintaining appropriate stock levels
 * Providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer issues or complaints
 * Ensuring that all food handling, health, and safety regulations are strictly adhered to
 * Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, preparation, and presentation
 * Assisting with training and development of bistro staff
 * Maintaining accurate records and financial reporting
What we're looking for
 * Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role within a bustling bistro or restaurant environment
 * Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
 * Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
 * Thorough understanding of food safety and liquor licensing regulations
 * Proficient in using POS systems and maintaining accurate financial records
 * Effective communication and problem-solving skills
 * A passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience
