Biomedical Technology Services is seeking a permanent full time Technical Support Officer to join our team. Located in Brisbabe, this role will carry out general technical, operational and administrative duties to support the provision of repairs, planned maintenance, installation/de-installation and other services for a wide range of electronic and/or mechanical health technology equipment.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Carry out general technical support activities which may include: Equipment receipt, packing, dispatch, pick-up and delivery (driving required); Management of parts, consumables, test equipment and technical manuals; Data entry and checking; Telephone answering and customer service; Cleaning of specialised workshop areas and equipment; and other miscellaneous workshop support activities as required.
- Regular back-up coverage of: Reception, switchboard and general administration duties.
- Assist biomedical technicians to provide repairs, planned maintenance, installation/de-installation and other services for a wide range of electronic and/or mechanical health technology equipment. This may include working under indirect supervision following training.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, clients and other stakeholders.
- Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, and standards which impact upon the position including Code of Conduct for Queensland Public Service, contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policy.

**Qualifications, registration and other requirements**:

- A current Queensland Drivers Licence is required.
- Travel, Shift Rostering and On-call requirements: BTS is committed to providing appropriate services at all times to health facilities throughout the state, consequently staff may (following consultation) be required to transfer to another work location, participate in 24 hour shift arrangements, on-call and weekend rosters, occasional overtime, and to travel throughout Queensland for periods of up to approximately two weeks at a time.
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16): measles, mumps, rubella (MMR),varicella (chicken pox),pertussis (whooping cough),hepatitis B, tuberculosis
