* Salary range: $113,574 - $125,720+ superannuation and leave loading
* Duration: Temporary x 2 roles (one up to 6 months and the other up to 12 months)

About the role
As a Project Officer, you'll play a key role in the Metro Interventions Planning and Engagement team, supporting the design and delivery of initiatives aligned with strategic objectives. You will be supporting a team of work health and safety compliance inspectors that respond to workplace incidents and complaints to secure healthier and safer workplaces in NSW. Your role will entail working with a variety of teams including operations, technical specialists, work health and safety policy and shared services effectively contributing to successful project and operational outcomes.
This is a diverse, hands-on role where your creativity, initiative, planning and collaboration skills will be essential. You will work across teams and directorates, supporting cross-functional efforts to deliver regulatory and operational outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and support the development, coordination and communication on a range of business and project management activities.
* Gather and analyse data and insights to inform evidence-based decision making and improve the effectiveness of programs.
* Identify gaps and develop practical resources, tools, or guidance materials to support workers, businesses, and industry in understanding and meeting their safety obligations.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time and with quality outcomes.
* Work flexibly across multiple projects, balancing competing demands while ensuring delivery of outcomes on time and to a high standard.
* Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established project management methodology.

* Flexible and adaptive, able to operate in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
* Experience working with or within a regulatory, compliance or government environment will be highly regarded.
