We are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to join our team for an initial 3 month contract. As a Digital Business Analyst, you will act as the critical bridge between our business vision and our technical delivery teams. Embedded within a cross-functional squad, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable user stories for our customer-facing web and mobile applications. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the team's backlog, facilitating agile processes, and ensuring the squad is aligned to deliver maximum value against our product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
* Requirements Analysis & Elicitation: Lead workshops and consult with business stakeholders, product owners, and project managers to elicit, define, and document high-level business requirements and success criteria.
* Backlog Management & Prioritisation: Take ownership of the squad's backlog, decomposing high-level needs into well-defined Features, Epics, and User Stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria. Apply prioritisation techniques (e.g., WSJF) to sequence work effectively.
* Agile Facilitation: Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, drive iteration planning, and ensure the team's work is aligned with the broader product roadmap and release plans.
* Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the business and the technical team, ensuring clear and continuous communication with product owners, UI/UX designers, tech leads, developers, and QAs.
* Delivery & Collaboration: Work as an integral part of the delivery squad, tracking progress, proactively identifying and managing risks and dependencies, and removing blockers to ensure the team can meet its objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on projects to deliver customer-facing web and native mobile applications.
* Deep proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and associated backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
* Demonstrated ability to translate high-level business needs into detailed, technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, and communication, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the technical fluency required to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand system complexities.
