Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in the design and development of high-performance mechanical systems. This role involves creating innovative mechanical solutions that integrate seamlessly into complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design mechanical components and assemblies for electromechanical systems, from concept through production.
2. Develop 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and documentation in accordance with industry best practices.
3. Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis (FEA), and thermal considerations to ensure robustness and manufacturability.
4. Collaborate closely with electrical, mechatronics, and software teams to ensure mechanical designs meet system-level requirements.
5. Support rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles.
6. Source components and work with vendors to bring designs to life efficiently.
7. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement design improvements based on testing and field data.
8. Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, safety regulations, and product requirements.
9. Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for complex systems or machinery.
3. Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360) and familiarity with PDM systems.
4. Strong understanding of material selection, DFM/DFA principles, and mechanical tolerancing (GD&T).
5. Experience working with precision mechanisms, actuators, bearings, gears, and enclosures.
6. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.
7. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation).
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
1. Experience in robotics, automation, or motion control systems.
2. Familiarity with integration of sensors, actuators, and thermal systems.
3. Hands-on prototyping and lab experience with mechanical assemblies.
4. Exposure to high-reliability or regulated industries (e.g., medical, aerospace, semiconductor).
5. Experience with vacuum systems, cleanroom environments, or mechatronic integration.
