Leading from the front and building your own teams culture and capability, reporting to the CEO and managing all engineering operations, as well as the critical supporting infrastructure to build a better more streamline business. This role includes managing and directing the work of the operations teams to deliver the engineering objectives for the continued growth of the organisation. You will be a dynamic culturally inclusive leader who has individual experience with the wide span of engineering and operations, with proficiency and knowledge designing, implementing and improving manufactured components across steel and alloy solutions.
**Your Responsibilities Will Include**:
- Provide the vision and leadership for a group of 25-30 staff who will be responsible for the engineering needs in Australia, as well as the operational support and building an inclusive and high performing culture.
- Work with the CEO to invest and support a diverse and talented team of staff to support the engineering operations needs of the organisation in Australia.
- Set up and manage the standard operating procedures for superior technology and engineering expertise to plan and implement end-to-end solutions, providing updates and reports as necessary.
- Work as a senior member of the operations group to represent engineering performance issues, to promote and encourage best engineering practices.
- Work closely with the Engineering technical leaders in all aspects of engineering operations and performance across the project and organisation to deliver common approaches that maximise efficiency and performance.
- Support the roadmap development for the tools, processes and techniques that will be required for the oversight and management of engineering performance of the project.
**Skills and Experienced Required**:
- A degree in a relevant field of engineering or business (for example mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing/fabrication environment) or significant equivalent relevant work experience specialty alloy and steel solutions.
- A senior level of relevant professional experience in engineering and operational leadership in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Demonstrable record of successfully delivering long-term monitoring of engineering performance, tracking of metrics, and of driving performance improvements to manage an efficient engineering operations.
- A demonstrated record of successful leadership and management of teams, promoting diversity and developing an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Experience of all aspects of people management including recruitment, capability development and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently at all levels, presenting complex engineering issues and concepts in a style appropriate to the audience, and the ability to represent the organisation externally.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, shape conversations, and change behaviours through effective relationship
