We are looking for a passionate and motivated Shift Manager to join our leadership team and help us deliver consistently high standards of service.

The Role
As a Shift Manager, you will play a hands on role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations during your shift. You will lead, support, and motivate the front-of-house team, work closely with the kitchen, and ensure our guests enjoy the outstanding experience The Boatshed is known for.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee restaurant operations during rostered shifts.
* Lead, support, and motivate the FOH team to deliver professional and friendly service.
* Act as the first point of contact for staff and guests during service.
* Manage bookings, table allocations, and floor service flow.
* Monitor service quality and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
* Maintain a strong working relationship with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA, and workplace health & safety standards.
* Manage cash handling, end-of-day reporting, and shift handovers.
* Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.

About You
* Previous experience in a supervisory or shift management role in hospitality (restaurant/café/bar).
* A hands-on leader with strong communication and people skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
* Current RSA certificate (essential).
* Barista and/or cocktail knowledge highly regarded.
