The Role
We are seeking for a community-minded and motivated Administration Assistant who ideally has exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Connected Community School team.

This is a unique opportunity to support the implementation of a locally led, culturally safe and inclusive whole-school approach that strengthens and brings together services and supports that meet the needs and aspirations of our students and their families.

The successful applicant will ideally be a caring and approachable first point of contact for our families, students, staff, community partners and service providers. You would be able to foster genuine relationships and provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the Principal, Manager Corporate Services and Connected Community School team.

You should ideally have the ability to build trust and effectively communicate with students and the wider school community, including but not limited to not-for-profit organisations, service providers, other government agencies, sporting groups and community organisations.

As the Administration Assistant, you would be responsible for managing equipment and facilities associated with the trial, phone and email correspondence and general enquiries, providing research and reporting updates, preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes.

The successful applicant will ideally have a broad range of experience in using and administering financial systems and resources, including but not limited to undertaking account coding, reconciliations, invoice processing and processing acquittals. The successful applicant would ensure Departmental policies and guidelines are adhered to and prepare school materials for publication and distribution while also supporting the development and management of the marketing plans.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:

* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

* Demonstrated good financial management skills, including input into budget preparation, purchasing and asset management, and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.

* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support, including diary management.
* Demonstrated good keyboarding and computer skills, including knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and build and maintain effective working relationships.
* Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills with the ability to identify prioritises and meet conflicting deadlines.
