Role Description
This is a casual, site based role for a Waterslide Maintenance Technician, primarily servicing Melbourne, VIC, with travel across Victoria and interstate as required.
The role supports the delivery of specialised inspection, maintenance and rectification works across waterslides, splash parks and aquatic infrastructure assets.
This position forms part of REST Group's Waterslide Protection Plan, contributing to preventative maintenance, surface remediation, sealant replacement, composite repair support and quality assurance documentation.
Works are undertaken within live aquatic and leisure environments and must be delivered in accordance with strict safety, compliance and asset lifecycle standards.
This role suits individuals who take pride in high-quality workmanship and are comfortable working within structured systems and defined standards.

Remuneration
* Casual rate: $55 to $75 per hour (inclusive of super), aligned to demonstrated capability and technical experience
* Travel, accommodation and allowances provided for interstate works (where applicable)

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake surface preparation of GRP (fibreglass) waterslide flumes
* Remove and replace sealant systems in accordance with REST standards
* Assist with gelcoat repairs and composite remediation works
* Support preventative maintenance programs across aquatic assets
* Follow site specific safety requirements, SWMS and permit conditions
* Maintain accurate photographic and written records of works completed
* Identify and report asset defects outside of defined scope
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience in a trade, construction, mechanical or aquatic maintenance environment
* Demonstrated ability to carry out equipment maintenance and repairs
* Experience in preventative maintenance practices
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to follow structured methodologies and safety protocols
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Experience working within aquatic or leisure facilities
* Experience in fibreglass or marine composite repair systems
* EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket
* Working at Heights certification
Pre-Employment Requirements
* Valid driver's licence
* Ability to travel for short interstate assignments
* Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical (if required)
* Ability to complete site inductions and compliance documentation
Physical Requirements
* Ladder, scaffold and EWP access
* Kneeling and working within flume structures
* Use of grinders, sanders and hand tools
* Exposure to dust and chemical systems (controlled by PPE)
Works may be undertaken in humid indoor environments or outdoor conditions, including heat exposure. Tasks may involve early starts, wet environments and physically demanding work within tight or enclosed spaces.
Training & Development
Successful candidates will be trained in:

* Aquatic sealant application standards
* Preventative maintenance methodologies
* Asset defect identification and reporting
