CatholicCare Tasmania's Housing Connect Support Team work with individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Housing Connect Support Program in CatholicCare's Launceston office.

As a Key Development Coach, you will be expected to:
* Provide high-quality, person-centred case management services.
* Often act in the role of 'Coach' by providing encouragement and support to help build capacity.
* Identify and respond barriers that may be obstructing pathways to housing outcomes.
* Offer support, information and practical assistance on a range of issues to people referred by Housing Connect's Front Door.
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant qualification, and/demonstrated experience.
* Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration.
* Hold a current driver's licence.

Selection Criteria
1. High-level expertise in proactive engagement (including with those that are hard to engage) to
build an open, trusting and respectful relationships.
1. Expertise in assisting people in crisis to stabilise through direct interventions and mobilising needed supports and services.
2. Expertise in system advocacy, working with organisations or wider systems to promote effective, equitable, and accountable services for people.
3. Expertise in working with people to plan and set and work towards goals to create the conditions which will facilitate long term change.
4. Demonstrated experience providing intensive, flexible support led by people's goals, needs and circumstances.
5. Up-to-date knowledge base of housing information, community resources, service providers and referral points.
6. Knowledge of multidisciplinary issues relating to homelessness and the concepts of capabilities, agency, choice and control and their application to practice.
7. Understanding of relevant theoretical and conceptual frameworks and a commitment to the values and ideals of capabilities and Advantaged Thinking practice approaches.
