Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Provide professional and technical support for managing environmental obligations and community relations.
* Ensure compliance with environmental approvals, management plans, and statutory obligations.
* Develop and improve the Environmental Management System and related documentation.
* Lead the preparation and submission of statutory reports such as NGERS, NPI, ERC, and Annual Return.
* Plan and execute rehabilitation activities, including monitoring and remediation.
* Manage environmental and community/reputational risks.
* Offer professional advice on Environment and Community matters.
* Engage proactively with contractors, consultants, community, and stakeholders.
* Support the Environment and Community Manager in achieving objectives and initiatives.
* Assist site management in maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of professional environmental experience in mining, engineering, or civil construction.
* Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation, standards, and management systems.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Technical expertise in environmental monitoring, data management, and reporting.
* Understanding of mining principles and technical aptitude in surface and groundwater, air, noise, and blast monitoring.
