Work & Training is excited to offer a Certificate III Cabinet Making & Timber Technology Apprenticeship. This is a full‐time, 4‐year apprenticeship — perfect for a motivated school leaver ready to learn a skilled trade, or perhaps someone half way through their Joinery qualification and have found themselves without a placement.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll learn from experienced tradespeople while gaining real, hands‐on skills, including:
* Working with timber and cabinetry materials
* Measuring, cutting and assembling timber with precision
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Selecting materials and operating woodworking machinery
* Installing cabinetry and timber features on site
* Following WHS procedures and working safely at all times
What You'll Get
* Paid, full‐time apprenticeship for 4 years
* Nationally recognised Certificate III on completion
* TasTAFE theory training
* One‐on‐one mentoring and employment support from Work & Training
* 4 weeks paid annual leave each year

You'll be employed by Work & Training, One of Tasmania's largest employers of apprentices and trainees, and hosted to our valued client.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Genuine interest in working with wood and learning a trade
* Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Bonus (but not essential):
* VET Construction studies
* Any previous work or hands‐on experience
* Working with Vulnerable People Card and Police Check (or ability to gain)
