St Albans Folk Festival, held annually over the ANZAC Day long weekend, hosts musicians, singers, dancers, poets, speakers, and street performers of traditional and contemporary folk.
St Albans is a small, beautiful, heritage village on the banks of the MacDonald River in the Hawkesbury (about 90 minutes from Sydney).
We are looking for a volunteer Social Media Manager to join the marketing team.
All organisers of the Festival are volunteers.
We welcome applicants who are passionate about events, the arts and the cultural sector.
You will report to the Festival Marketing Manager and work closely with the Artistic Director and Graphic Designer.Work hours are flexible and spread throughout the year, with more concentrated periods just before, during, and after the Festival (late April).
It is expected that you will make every effort to attend the Festival.DutiesDevelop and execute a content plan in collaboration with the Marketing ManagerCreate content for Facebook and Instagram in line with the festival's visual styleRegularly monitor social media channelsMonitor mentions of St Albans Folk Festival in news feedsNurture relationships with key stakeholdersInteract with followers by responding to enquiries, comments, or complaintsMeasure and report on the results of social media activitiesSkills and ExperienceCert IV in Digital Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experienceHighly experienced user of Facebook, Instagram, and CanvaGraphic design and/or photography training or experience advantageousExperience attending folk festivals or experience as a performer, advantageous but not necessary
