Job Description
About the Role
Join TOMRA's mission to transform recycling through smart technology. As an Electrical Field Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing our pioneering Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and bulk processing equipment across Tamworth and surrounding areas.
This hands-on role focuses on conveyors, sensors, motors, mobile communications, and other electromechanical systems.
You'll be on the road daily, so a clean driving record and a passion for travel are essential. Overnight travel is required for this role.
This is a highly autonomous position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and takes initiative. The role operates on a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends.
Key responsibilities include:
* Servicing and maintaining installed equipment
* Reporting on service assignments and faults
* Installing kiosks and bulk processing systems at new sites
* Providing excellent customer service to partners and the public
* Identifying and reporting product improvement opportunities
* Performing routine cleaning and upkeep of equipment
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Certificate III in Electrical/Electronic Trade, Disconnect-Reconnect, or relevant mechanical/electrical experience
* Experience with operating systems, software installation, networking, and mobile telecommunications
* Strong diagnostic and analytical skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and replace circuit boards, sensors, and electronic components
* Previous customer-facing experience
* Unrestricted driver's license and willingness to provide a full driving history
* Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and overnight travel
