Medical Practice Assistant Position
We are seeking an organized and motivated medical practice assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operation of our clinic. This role involves assisting both management and clinical staff while ensuring a high level of patient care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Front Desk Duties: Welcoming patients, managing appointments, and handling phone and email communication.
* Medical Administration: Supporting doctors and nurses with patient flow, ensuring accurate records, and maintaining confidentiality.
* Staff Supervision & Rostering: Assisting with staff scheduling, leave management, and coordinating day-to-day team operations.
* Business Development: Supporting practice growth initiatives, marketing, and community engagement in alignment with our brand.
* Communication & Coordination: Acting as a key point of contact between management, staff, and patients.
* Financial Support: Assisting with debt recovery processes, billing checks, and basic financial reporting.
* Complaint Resolution: Managing patient feedback professionally and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
* Policy and Compliance: Assisting in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of practice policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a medical reception/administration is essential.
* Strong supervisory and rostering background.
* Proven skills in communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
* Familiarity with practice software, billing, and debt recovery processes.
* Experience in business administration, branding, and practice building will be highly regarded.
* Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
This part-time position is available for 20-30 hours per week, with flexible hours. Ability to cover sick and annual leave is a must. Remuneration is offered based on experience and industry award rates.
