Fleet & Inventory Controller (MER0003MOJ)
The Role:

You will work alongside the Department of Defence, based at our head office in Mulgrave, Victoria, as part of a high-performing Customer Services team. Your duties include ensuring tasks are completed timely and effectively, and assisting the National Fleet Manager with reviews, plans, and deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
1. Perform routine tasks related to materiel logistics, inventory control, and asset management in accordance with Defence requirements.
2. Interpret and apply relevant Defence policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance in inventory and asset management activities.
3. Review procurement and requirements reports and raise replenishment or procurement requests as needed.
4. Monitor and act on outstanding tasks from the Business Process Monitoring list to maintain workflow efficiency.
5. Prepare and submit procurement proposals for inventory top-ups, fleet modifications, and related projects.
6. Collaborate with technical teams to support the codification of new items into the NATO Master Catalogue of References for Logistics.
7. Assess and include new items in the MILIS catalogue in collaboration with technical teams.
8. Identify opportunities for on-the-job training within the fleet management team and prepare Disposal Directives for submission and approval.
Qualifications
To be successful, you will need:
* At least two years of inventory management experience.
* A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
* Highly developed analytical skills.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Leadership skills to guide a team at all levels for effective collaboration and decision-making.
This position is payrolled via a third-party agency. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and willing to undergo a baseline security check with the Department of Defence.
