Kickstart your electrical career with hands‐on experience in a fast‐paced food manufacturing environment. We're looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join the JBS Rockhampton Plant Maintenance team and learn from experienced tradespeople while working with unique industrial equipment.
About the Role
You'll support our maintenance team in assisting with basic maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown response across key plant equipment. This role is practical, safety‐focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys problem‐solving and learning on the job.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
* Following WH&S procedures and help identify hazards
* Assisting with electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault‐finding
* Responding to breakdowns under supervision
* Using tools, equipment and diagnostics safely
* Communicating with maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime
* Helping to source parts and support small improvement projects
* Learning to interpret equipment documentation and basic PLC concepts
About You
* Interest in completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology
* Good communication, teamwork and problem‐solving skills
* Commitment to safe work practices
* Reliable and a willingness to learn
* Prior trade, industrial or hands‐on experience advantageous
* Basic computer literacy or exposure to maintenance systems
* Interest in automation, PLCs or continuous improvement
