The OpportunityThis position is being offered as a 12 to 18-month non-ongoing contract. The role will give you exposure to a variety of finance activities, the chance to work closely with senior colleagues, and involvement with stakeholders across the wider organisation.

The RoleAs a Financial Accountant, you'll be involved in a broad range of finance functions that will both draw on your existing skills and provide opportunities to grow your capability.
In this role, you will:
* Prepare and process financial journals, work papers, and reconciliations
* Assist with cash management, treasury, and banking activities
* Support the preparation and lodgement of tax and statutory returns
* Contribute to research, analysis, and finance projects
* Provide advice on systems and workflows, recommending improvements where needed
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Support broader finance team activities and contribute across the organisation
The Ideal PersonYou'll bring a strong foundation in accounting and the drive to apply your skills in a small, collaborative finance team. Degree-qualified with around three years' experience in financial accounting, you may come from government, a large commercial organisation, audit, or tax & business services.
Ideally, you'll have completed or be progressing towards your CA/CPA, and you'll be eager to continue building your technical and professional expertise. As a team player, you'll enjoy supporting colleagues and contributing to shared outcomes in a busy environment.
