Cook/Coordinator – Community Meals
Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Part Time (24 hours per week until June 2027) | $33.34 per hour + super
We're looking for a community-minded Cook/Coordinator with a passion for food and people to lead the delivery of our Community Meals Program.
This is more than just a cooking job — it's about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where older people and people with disabilities can share a nutritious meal, connect with others, and feel part of something meaningful.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Planning, preparing, and serving healthy two-course meals for program participants
* Supporting dietary needs with care and cultural sensitivity
* Engaging with participants to shape menus and meal experiences
* Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen that meets food safety regulations
* Managing supplies, budgeting, and meal program records
* Helping foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome
* Occasionally preparing meals for special events or celebrations
What You Bring:
* A relevant cooking qualification or strong experience catering for large groups
* A Food Handler's Certificate, First Aid and CPR certification
* Great people skills and a collaborative, community-focused approach
* Strong organisational and record-keeping ability
* Flexibility and initiative to work both independently and as part of a team
* A current driver licence and reliable transport
