Job Overview
The Disability Support Worker will be responsible for delivering personalized care and support services to clients, tailored to meet their unique needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence, safety, and well-being.
* Personal Care: Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support Services: Provide emotional support, companionship, and assistance with mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
* Community Involvement: Encourage clients to participate in community activities, social events, and outings.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of support provided, ensuring compliance with NDIS policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field.
* A strong understanding of NDIS principles and person-centered care practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A current First Aid and CPR certification.
* A valid Australian driver's license and reliable transport.
* An NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Manual handling training (preferable).
