AA Euro Group has been retained by one of the UK`s leading multi-disciplinary consultancies to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent position based in their Newcastle office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects including commercial, healthcare, industrial, and more all within a supportive and development-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
* Support the detailed design and documentation of mechanical building services
* Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, and project documentation
* Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate design with other engineering disciplines
* Contribute to service drawings and design calculations under supervision
* Attend site visits, surveys, and meetings where required
* Support the implementation of health & safety and quality assurance procedures
* Take part in ongoing professional development and structured training
Requirements:
* Degree qualified (Level 7 or above) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* 25 years experience in building services/mechanical design (consultancy or contractor background)
* Working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or HEVACOMP is beneficial
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Interest or experience in sectors such as healthcare, retail, education, and commercial is an advantage
* Keen to grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
