With a major relocation and expansion to Murray Bridge now underway, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting our people and driving the efficient operation of our new warehousing and distribution facility in Murray Bridge.
About The Role
We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on and motivated Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor who is ready to lead by example, be accountable for daily operations, drive a safe and inclusive work culture, and support the team and business as you help shape our logistics and production areas for future growth.
This full-time position is responsible for managing and organising the logistics and supply chain to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our quality dairy products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee the efficient daily operation of the onsite warehouse and distribution centre; including inventory control, managing rosters, receiving and checking incoming goods and the outbound freight of stock to customers.
* Organising, loading and routing goods to appropriate production areas, whilst monitoring team performance, offering coaching to overcome deficiencies and promote a culture of safety and adherence to quality requirements.
* Interpret company polices to team members, enforce compliance with on-site auditing, review and update documents as required and ensure third party transport delivery compliance.
* Ensure the accuracy of data entry, record keeping, reporting, inventory quality of inbound and outbound orders and invoices, and ensure the warehouse complies with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
* Communicate openly with all levels of the business to determine priority tasks, adapt to meet customer needs and seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in the planning and implementation of warehouse layout and design to optimize efficiency, develop and maintain KPI's and implement projects as required by Head Office relating to your area of accountability.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar warehouse and logistics management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or FMCG industries.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team and lead by example.
* Excellent problem-solving and planning abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to policies and procedures.
* Proficient in warehouse management systems and inventory control processes, including operating material handling equipment and using scanners to place, track, locate and pick products.
* Thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, including transportation, distribution, and inventory management.
* Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive performance / quality standards, and monitor / exceed KPI's through engagement.
* Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is highly desirable but not essential.
