Food Microbiologist - Eurofins Food Testing Laboratory

The Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments including Confirmation step (PCR and Maldi-TOF Techniques).
Reporting to the Team Leader, this role will have the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
* Out of Specification Investigation and reporting.
* Method review and Internal Audits.
* Calibration of equipment and other Quality checks for Food Laboratory.
* Weekend testing support for confirmation and testing Food samples.
Minimum Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Science or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience.
* At least 3-5 years’ experience in NATA accredited commercial laboratory. Experience in PCR/results reading & confirmation. NATA signatory will be added advantage.
* Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques.
* Experience using a laboratory LIMS system.
* Technical knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline.
* Strong knowledge of NATA requirements for ISO 17025.
