We are seeking a reliable individual who has the ability to think on their feet and work proactively and efficiently.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing experienced and general maintenance services at our manufacturing site in Somerville.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out Preventative and Reactive general maintenance duties
- General Maintenance: Able to conduct basic maintenance jobs such as fixing doors, fitting door locks, replacing lights etc.
- Repairs and minor trade work: Conduct minor repairs to flooring, patch plasterboard.
- Picking up and delivering items to site
- Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment
- Thoroughly and quickly cleaning job sites
- General labouring duties such as moving material around site,
- Assisting the rest of the team when required
- Basic MiG, Tig and stick welding
- Assisting with equipment change-overs.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Trade qualified is desirable but not essential
- Handyman experience
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Current Drivers Licence/ Forklift license an advantage
- Computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, energetic and promote a positive work environment
- Customer focus
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Flexible and innovative approach to problem-solving
