Job Title: Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Meeting customers to ensure industry-leading service delivery and foster strong relationships.
* Creating and implementing sales strategies to identify new markets for opportunities and drive growth.
* Proactively identifying, pursuing, and acquiring new business and increasing sales through effective networking and negotiation skills.
* Meeting and exceeding business KPIs and sales targets by prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
* Establishing sales objectives through forecasting and maintaining quarterly and annual sales quotas for the region.
* Representing the company at client events, meetings, and conferences to build brand awareness and expand the customer base.
* Developing and overseeing a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
* Providing valuable feedback on customer proposals, sales data, forecasts, and profitability to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in business sales, marketing, or a related field.
* Previous experience within the transport industry in sales is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated track record of success in the sales cycle from plan to close, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel regularly and work irregular hours as needed.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a cohesive team, leveraging collaboration and communication skills to achieve common goals.
* Solid negotiation and influencing capabilities, with the ability to think critically and creatively in high-pressure situations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and CRM tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Possession of a C Class driver's license and National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months).
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
