As our Senior HR Consultant, you will:
- Provide strategic HR advice and support across workforce planning, recruitment, and case management activities, to deliver and drive practical business outcomes and effective people management practices.
- Manage and coordinate rehabilitation and return-to-work processes, collaborating with managers and staff to ensure effective support following illness or injury.
- Provide practical recommendations, solutions, coaching and advice to managers, that builds capability, in relation to attraction strategies, and recruitment and selection processes that are accessible, inclusive, and culturally safe.
- Provide advice on a diverse range of contemporary employee relations and human resource issues, including organisational change, discipline, performance management, conflict resolution, injury management and compliance within the department's framework.
- Supervise and support the team to achieve results aligned with approved work plans and objectives.
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, assess risks, and provide evidence based recommendations to inform decision‑making.
- Develop and deliver training, procedures, and resources to strengthen HR capabilities and support continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate HR initiatives and meet organisational goals.
- Research, review and prepare HR related reports, briefs, submissions and other correspondence in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Participate in HR projects and working groups, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and meet client needs.
Qualifications
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in human resources/ employee relations from a recognised tertiary institution would be well regarded.
- Experience using the Aurion Employee Self Service application and Springboard.
- Knowledge and awareness of current human resources practices and systems, industrial instruments, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and/or provide recommendation for continuous improvement.
