Why This Role Exists
Our founder needs to stay focused on sales, strategy and growth — not day‑to‑day production.
You'll step in to own projects from the moment they're sold through to delivery.
You'll bring calm, clarity and structure to a high‑volume environment while ensuring strong creative output and healthy project margins.
What You'll Do
Project Produce & Manage
* Run multiple video and photo projects at once
* Plan and book shoots Australia‑wide (plus occasional overseas)
* Manage logistics, scheduling, call sheets, permits, releases
* Write clear edit briefs and guide editors from start to finish
* Keep everything moving smoothly when schedules shift
Client Partnership & Communication
* Be the primary contact for production projects
* Build strong relationships with marketing/comms managers
* Join occasional pitch meetings or discovery calls
* Contribute creative thinking to scripts, concepts and ideas (with AI tools to help)
Crew & Freelancer Management
* Book and brief shooters, photographers, audio techs, HMU, etc.
* Maintain and expand our national freelancer network
* Ensure all incoming content meets our quality standards
Admin & Systems
* Keep CRM and project management tools updated
* Oversee clean handovers between sales → production → delivery
* Attend or oversee key shoots when required
Profitability & Resourcing
* Make smart production decisions balancing quality and budget
* Choose the right crew/gear for each project
* Maintain strong margins so the business can grow sustainably
* Spot risks early and find cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality
About You
* 5+ years in a production company, creative agency or similar fast‑paced environment
* Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects
* Strong communicator — written, phone and client‑facing
* Highly organised with sharp attention to detail
* Confident decision‑maker who runs projects independently
* Calm, solutions‑focused and unfazed by‑minute changes
* Experienced writing call sheets, briefs, scripts or treatments
* Able to guide editors and freelancers clearly
* Client‑first mindset
* WWCC (or willing to obtain one) as we do a lot of education work
Bonus Skills (not essential)
* Social media content planning or management
* Understanding of paid ads or social strategy
* Experience shaping pitch decks or treatments
* Familiarity with AI workflow tools
