Retail and Gallery Manager – Barraga Retail & Art Gallery Team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre
We are seeking a Retail and Gallery Manager to join our Barraga Retail & Art Gallery Team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre. Embraced by one of the world's most beautiful locations, the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre is an enticing destination to introduce visitors to both the stunning natural beauty of the Daintree and the rich culture of the Kuku Yalanji people. As Retail & Gallery Manager, you will lead the end‐to‐end performance of Barraga Retail and Art Gallery, driving strong commercial outcomes while protecting cultural integrity and storytelling. We're looking for a commercially savvy retail leader who can own P&L performance, elevate guest experience and build a high‐performing team.
Key Duties
* Lead retail and gallery operations, ensuring service excellence and cultural integrity
* Own financial performance including P&L, stock control and shrinkage management
* Drive sales growth through merchandising, product strategy and seasonal planning
* Develop and coach the retail leadership team to maximise performance
* Ensure compliance with financial controls, cash handling and operational standards

You will have:
* Retail management experience with strong commercial accountability
* Proven ability to manage stock, shrinkage and financial controls
* Sales experience with a strong focus on performance outcomes
* Experience leading and developing teams
* Sound knowledge of the local area and cultural groups (highly regarded)
* Cash handling and POS compliance experience
