**Your opportunity**
The Operations Manager will provide day to leadership of wharf and vessel crew to ensure delivery of a high quality service for commuters. This role provides seven day coverage to support NRMA Marine business operations. The NRMA Marine business core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable and efficient ferry services to our customers.
- Lead the day to day management of wharf and vessel crew
- Coach and develop team to create a high performance, engaged, customer-centric team culture
- Train and induct crew in line with the competency and assurance framework
- Lead frontline engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture
- Ensure alignment of objectives and activities across the team
- Lead the development of a compliant roster for wharf and vessel crew
- Manage any day to day changes to the roster
- Work closely with the Planning team to understand resource utilization and ensure overtime is effectively managed and productivity achieved
- Support the on time delivery of services
- Monitor and ensure high standards of services are maintained through daily audits
- Lead and support the team during a crisis or other disruption. Ensure systems and protocols are in place to support the needs and well-being of the team
- Develops a proactive safety culture within Service Delivery
- Acts as first point of contact for all safety incidents
- Assists with safety investigations and supports the delivery of any corrective actions
- Identifies opportunities to improve safety and drive implementation of safety initiatives
- Ensures safety procedures are adhered, regularly reviewed and updated as required
**Requirements for Success**
- Experience managing day to day transport delivery in Marine industry
- Demonstrated experience in managing a seven day operation
- Experience working in a highly regulated compliance environment
