OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and experienced HR & Operations Generalist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing dedicated support to our APAC region. This standalone role is ideal for a self-motivated HR professional with broad exposure across both HR and operational functions.The successful candidate will take ownership of key areas within the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations support, office management, and assisting with recruitment processes. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.This role requires a confident communicator who can respond effectively to HR and Ops queries at all levels of the organisation from individual team members to senior leadership while promoting best practice and consistency across the business.ResponsibilitiesOffice ManagementSupporting on people and culture initiativesManaging the employee lifecycle (including issuing of offers, contracts and leaver confirmation)Managing the induction of new joiners (including arrangements for ‘The Perfect First Day’)Administer employee review process (including probation & annual reviews) & prepare team trackersSupporting the recruitment activity between hiring managers and recruitment agenciesSupporting with monthly payroll, sending central HR monthly payroll changesEnsure employee personnel records and HR information system are up to date and accurateSupport with processing & onboarding of freelancersSupport with HR projects and any adhoc duties within the HR functionManaging HRIS tool and ensuring information is update to date and accurateBeing the first point of contact for HR queries, escalating to HR Director when neededSupporting with HR auditing when necessaryManaging the storage and filing of all employment contracts and change lettersProviding monthly HR stats to HR Director and Senior Management team when neededBooking and recording of training employee training activatesManaging our internal wellbeing programmeContributing to future HR initiatives when requiredKey SkillsMinimum 2 years’ experience as a HR administrator or assistantExperience gained within the marketing, media agency sectorGood knowledge of AU employment law and HR best practiceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and react quickly and efficientlyExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsComfortable to support with any ad hoc duties as required by the companyMeticulous attention to detailPro-active and self-motivatedExcellent planning and organisation skills to meet deadlinesProficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the InternetProficient in the use of social media for business purposesA good working knowledge of HR information systemsTeam player with the gravitas to liaise at all levelsAbility to work autonomously and flexiblyMinimum of 2 years’ experience working in HRHR related degree or equivalent Standalone HR experience beneficialHR Generalist background beneficialMarketing/Digital Media experienceOffice management experience welcomeThis job description acts as a guide to the key responsibilities and expectations of the role.
