Senior Child Safety Support Officer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Child Safety Support Officer to join our multidisciplinary team in Townsville. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, culturally appropriate child protection services to children, families, and carers.
The focus of this role is on identifying and supporting potential kin to become approved carers and connecting young people in out-of-home care with their family networks. You will work closely with departmental staff, carers, and other key stakeholders to meet the placement needs of children and young people.
* Engage effectively with children, families, carers, and service providers to support case plan goals.
* Provide individualized supports to children and families, including facilitation of positive family connection, referrals, and advocacy for services.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders, children, and parents to establish and strengthen safety and support networks.
* Offer casework support and advice to inform decisions about child safety and protective needs.
* Participate as a team member in a multidisciplinary team to deliver well-planned family support services.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Maintain quality case records in accordance with departmental requirements.
