About the role
* Working under senior management from the Newcastle Office you will oversee one maybe two projects in the Lismore region valued at $40M - $50M
* The position will suit someone with construction experience that is looking to reside full time in the Byron / Lismore region
* Salary will be in line with market trends and offer a 5 day working week
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all site operations comply with HSE regulations and project-specific safety and environmental plans
* Deliver site inductions and conduct daily safety walks and weekly inspections
* Engage with workers and management to ensure clear safety communication and issue resolution
* Monitor SWMS compliance and complete regular task observations
* Conduct weekly risk forecasts and maintain up-to-date project risk assessments
* Support subcontractors and internal teams with hazard identification and supervision standards
* Identify and coordinate training needs to ensure safe work practices
* Lead or contribute to incident investigations and reporting
What You'll Bring to the role
* Cert IV or Diploma in WHS (or higher); trade background highly regarded
* Experience with Hammertech and other safety management platforms
* Strong knowledge of plant safety, construction methodologies and workplace legislation
* Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* ICAM Lead Investigator certification is a bonus
* Experience in safety auditing, with a sound understanding of construction IR
