We're seeking a passionate and experienced mental health professional to lead the Functional Recovery Program (FRP) at headspace Darwin.
This is a unique opportunity to guide a multidisciplinary team and shape recovery-focused services for young people experiencing mental ill-health and their families.
About the Role:
As Team Leader – FRP, you'll coordinate and deliver group programs, supervise peer support staff, and oversee the Family and Friends Program.
You'll work closely with clinicians, peer workers and medical staff to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with the Australian Early Psychosis model.
This role includes direct clinical work, leadership responsibilities, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team delivering FRP services
Coordinate group programs and peer support initiatives
Support clinical care for young people and their families
Promote family involvement and culturally responsive practice
Contribute to service development, evaluation and continuous improvement
Represent headspace Early Psychosis in community forums and partnerships
About You:
You're a compassionate leader with advanced clinical skills and a commitment to youth mental health.
You bring experience in group facilitation, recovery-oriented care, and working with diverse communities.
Tertiary qualifications in allied health and current AHPRA or AASW membership
Expertise in adolescent mental health, including psychosis and AOD issues
Proven ability to lead therapeutic and recovery groups
Strong commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal young people
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and National Police Check
NT Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Compliance with vaccination requirements and ID verification
Note: This position is based at headspace Darwin, with occasional out-of-hours work and flexibility required.
