Ranger - General Duties

Salary: $81,*********,567 p.a. + Super + Leaseback
Responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Duties Ranger to manage and regulate policies and legislation in order to protect and enhance the environment of Camden and the health and safety for our community.
This role involves patrolling, law enforcement, community service, and incident management.
Essential Qualifications
Relevant Council Law Enforcement Officer training such as Certificate IV in Government Investigations or similar
A sound working knowledge and experience in the application and administration of current Acts and associated Regulations as they relate to Rangers Services
Knowledge of Companion Animals Act ****, Local Government Act ****, Public Spaces Act (Unattended Property) ****, Roads Act and Road Rules ****, Protection of the Environment Operations Act ****, and other relevant legislation and guidelines/policies currently in use by local government Rangers
Ability to provide high level customer service and technical advice as it relates to Ranger Services
Excellent conflict resolution skills within the workplace and in the field
Demonstrated experience in legal and court matters related to Ranger duties
Ability to record accurate details, take statements, conduct interviews, and gather evidence
Ability to manage challenging situations and unpredictable environments within the community, autonomously
Strong organisation and time management skills
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Proficiency with computer systems and database systems
Experience in impounding or seizing uncontrolled animals
Desirable Qualifications
Ability to manage and handle livestock
Authorised micro-chip implanter
