EOS is now seeking a qualified Accountant to support its financial operations and contribute to the company's continued growth and success. Role: Full time Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills)
Location: In office in Symonston, ACT Responsibilities: Prepare accounts receivable invoices in accordance with the revenue recognition principles ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
Actively collaborate with project managers to ensure all necessary documentation has been obtained when issuing and calculating accounts receivable invoices to international customers. Generate end of month reports in relation to Accounts Receivable balances and ensure that outstanding customer payments have been actioned. Provide analysis, prepare reports, and provide advice on business transactions
Prepare financial statements for presentation to management, and statutory bodies. Prepare BAS, PAYG and FBT returns for domestic entities in accordance with regulatory timeframes. Prepare reports and analyse operating costs, income, and expenditure to improve financial performance.
Contribute to ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements. Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of half-year and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and assist with internal and external audit information requests Perform analysis of transactions, and expense allocations to maintain financial integrity, strengthen internal controls, and support effective cash flow management
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, providing input on the selection of computer-based solutions. Conduct and prepare thorough financial reconciliations to ensure the precision and integrity of financial data in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This includes completing reconciliations on a timely basis, ensuring that any variances are identified, documented and appropriately resolved.
Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity. Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in an accounting related discipline and progression towards CA/CPA membership or equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 years of Australian accounting experience Demonstrated experience working within a multinational organisation or a consolidated group of entities. In-depth understanding of Australian taxation and compliance regulations
Demonstrated experience working within a cloud-based ERP environment (e.g. Epicor or similar financial and management information system) is essential Strong Excel skills and/or experience with PowerQuery or PowerBI Skills & Competencies:
Ability to problem solve and perform tasks with high attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and proactive, can-do attitude
